A Case Report of Stroke Patients Who Are Improved Over Six Months Later from Onset

Abstract
|

|
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical application of accupunture, herbal medicine treatment to a patient with stroke patients who suffered over 6months.
Methods : Stroke of the patients in this case occurred over 6months ago. They all have spasticity in their left side of bodies and suffered hemiparesis over six months. We treated them with acupuncture and herbal medicine. We measured the state of this case by Manual Muscle Test(MMT) & Modified Bathel Index(MBI) & Modified Ashworth scale(MAS).
Results : After treatment, MMT & MBI increased, while MAS decreased.
Conclusions : According to this study, traditional Korean medicine is effective for improve the post-stroke patient`s ability.
